It was quite the weekend of rites of passage in Laramie. Not only was the University of Wyoming holding spring commencement ceremonies, but it was also prom weekend for Laramie High School. The junior class chose the theme "Emerald City" for the event, held at the Hilton Garden Inn.

All prom attendees were introduced at the LHS gym where the members of the court were also announced. Emily Williams was the Attendant to the Queen, a tie in the voting made both Tate Hilgenkamp and Aaron Heath Princes while the Prom Princess was Emily King. Prom King went to Raj Patel and Mary Kozlowski was named Prom Queen.

The junior class fathers ran a valet service at the Hilton Garden Inn for all of the prom attendees. Music was provided by Mike Munari with M'n'M Music Factory from Wheatland.

Laramie Choice hosted an after prom party for LHS. Students were invited to the Laramie Rec Center until 4 a.m. for a safe place to enjoy each other's company after prom.
