A power outage in Laramie, that started at approximately 12:45 Monday afternoon affected 3,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers.

According to Jeff Hymas, spokesperson for Rocky Mountain Power, crews were immediately dispatched around the outage area to find the problem.

Hymas goes on to say that patrol crews were not able to find any obvious signs of the problem and were able to restore power without having to make repairs.  "That happens sometimes," says Hymas.  "There will be a disturbance of some kind on the power line, and it will cause protective devices to activate and cut the flow of power.  Sometimes we're able to find what that cause was, other times it's not as clear."

Power was restored at 1:19 in the afternoon.
