A Laramie woman was arrested Sunday night after it was alleged that she attacked a man with a knife.

Official court paperwork says that Tonia Michelle Daetwiler was arrested after 3 am on Sunday, after allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a kitchen knife.  When law enforcement arrived on scene, at the 2900 block of Ft. Sanders Road, Sheriff's deputies observed Daetwiler at the front door of a residence, crying.  Deputies also noted that Daetwiler appeared to be intoxicated.

During investigation Daetwiler claimed she had been in an physically and mentally abusive relationship with the victim, and she could not take the abuse any longer.  She also claimed to have blacked out during the incident and did not remember stabbing the victim.

The victim claims that Daetwiler stabbed him, and shortly thereafter threw the knife at him. Investigators observed that the victim had wounds consistent with being caused by a knife.

Daetwiler faces one count of Aggravated Assault.  She is currently in custody at the Albany County Detention Center with a $15,000 cash bond.
