Lauren Alaina Embarks on Inch-by-Inch Tour Leading Up to Her 18th Birthday

Eighteen is not an insignificant number for Lauren Alaina. Not only is the 17-year-old country star’s latest hit called ‘Eighteen Inches,’ Alaina is about to embark on an 18-city Eighteen Inches tour. The tour kicked off last night (Sept. 21) in Bloomsburg, Pa., and will lead up to the singer’s 18th birthday on Nov. 8.

Alaina is touring in support of her latest single, which was released in July and is sitting pretty in the Top 40 on the country charts. The song was co-written with the help of the young star’s Idol, Carrie Underwood.

Always one to have a big heart, Alaina is using part of her tour to benefit local charities and the Special Olympics. At each tour stop, the ‘George Peaches’ hitmaker will be selling tour t-shirts and donating a portion of those sales to the less fortunate.
