For anyone who remembers how Leann Rimes looked at the beginning of her career, you will certainly notice that she is much thinner now.  In fact it wasn’t that long ago that she was receiving a lot of heat for the bikini snaps she’s been posting of herself on Twitter.

There was real concern on the part of her fans and just the general public that Leann may have become bulimic or anorexic; charges that Leann immediately denied.

“People are calling me bulimic or anorexic,” a frustrated Rimes told People Magazine. “These are real issues and diseases—that I don’t have.”

FOX411.com conducted an interview recently with Rimes’ personal trainer, Michael Jackson.  (no, not THAT Michael Jackson)

“I know it really bothers her,” Jackson told FOX411.com. “A lot of people see pictures of LeAnn and assume certain things. But we’re in the process of putting a video together that she’ll post to her blog so that people will see what it is that we’re doing to get her in shape. It’ll probably go live sometime next month—we haven’t set an exact date.”

Jackson reportedly has been working with Rimes for about 10 months.  During that time she has really been concentrating on her boxing.  She see it as an excellent way to work off her frustrations.  She also credits her busy schedule and “running around” as having helped her to keep trim.

“Going to the gym and punching out some of my aggression on a pair of mitts has been a lifesaver,” Rimes told Shape Magazine last year. “I’ll walk into the gym and say to my trainer, ‘We’re doing a boxing workout today… I need to hit things.”

It may seem like a tempest in a teapot, here.  But, I understand that body image and the importance of it varies greatly from person to person.  I’m sure that Leann is taking this all very seriously.  I’m also sure that if you’re healthy, you can stay that way.  Hopefully that’s exactly what’s going on with Leann.
