Question:

Repair drop-off ledges at 6th and Sheridan?

Answer:

"Part of the issue with the street condition at S 6th Street and E Sheridan Street has to do with when the city would overlay streets years ago and not mill the edges, thus creating a lip. When edges are not milled, the area is left with increased crown/center line sections and asphalt that is much higher than the curb, leaving a 2% cross slope and asphalt that is only a half inch higher than the curb. This small lip is created so that if there is any settling the water can still flow to the curb and into the storm drainage system, while not creating a big drop-off for vehicles parking along the street."

Ask the City Of Laramie is your chance to send the city that burning question that you have always wondered about such as: “Where can I get a city parking permit?” or “Why did my water usage rates go through the roof?”

Please note that the City of Laramie will answer as many questions as possible at their discretion.
