Cowgirl head coach Joe Legerski reached another milestone Saturday night. He earned his 200th win, as Wyoming rolled past the Pepperdine Waves 84-64 at the Arena-Auditorium. Fallon Lewis scored a career-high 24 points and Kayla Woodward added 24 in the victory.

Legerski is already the all-time winningest coach in Cowgirl history. That was a mark he obtained last season, ironically against the Waves a year ago. He reaches 200 in his 11th season at the helm. Eight of the previous 10 seasons have resulted in a winning record for UW.

Wyoming (4-0) knocked down ten 3-pointers, which included four from Woodward and three from Lewis. Chelan Landry chipped in 10 points and six assists.

After a slow start and UW leading 16-12, the Cowgirls rattled off a 16-2 run over five minutes of the first half and took control for good. Woodward and Lewis both hit a pair of 3's in key the spurt. Wyoming held a 45-31 lead at half. The second half was all Cowgirls, as they extended their advantage to 25 points.

UW shot 32-69 (46.4%) from the field, 10-19 (52.6%) from 3-point range and 10-16 (62.5%) at the line. They had 25 assists on their 32 field goals and only 8 turnovers. The Cowgirls forced 18 turnovers by the Waves.

Pepperdine (2-3) went 27-60 (45%) from the floor. The Waves were 5-12 (41.7%) from deep and 5-8 (62.5%) at the foul line. They were led by Bria Richardson with 18 points and Allie Green scored 15 off the bench.

Wyoming returns to action next Saturday, November 30 at South Dakota. The game is set to start at 1 p.m.
