Last weekend, the Laramie Police Department received nineteen reports of vehicles that had been vandalized during the nighttime hours of August 11th - 12th.  The majority of the vandalism occurred between 5th Street and 14th Street, and from Custer to Steele Streets.  Some of the vandalism occurred in the Alta Vista area.

Vehicle and bike tires were punctured, vehicle windows were broken and some vehicles had scratch in the paint.  The paint damage appears to have been caused by a pointed metal object.

The Police Department ha not received repair costs from all of the victims yet, but estimate that damages could exceed $15,000.
