Okay, let me be clear here, I think CMT's CROSSROADS is a brilliant concept.  I've always been fascinated by the different genre's of music.  It comes from spending decades in live radio with different formats, I'm sure. And the premise of CROSSROADS is simple:  take the best from one genre and mix it with the best from another.  Thus, we will soon have a chance to see Luke Bryan, arguably one of the best new artists in Country, teaming up with the truly classic rock and roll of the Doobie Brothers.

The show is set to air Friday, June 24th at 8 PM Mountain time.

Taped before an invitation-only audience in Nashville, The Doobie Brothers and Luke Bryan will perform their hits including The Doobie Brothers’ “Black Water,” Long Train Runnin,” and “China Grove,” and Bryan’s “Rain is a Good Thing,” “Do I” “and “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).”

Ina an interview with Country Hound  Luke said, "I am really excited to perform on stage with the Doobie Brothers”. “Their music was such an iconic part of my growing up. I bet most Americans can hear a particular Doobie Brother's song and have it take them back to a certain time and place in their life...and the best thing is, they are still creating great music today!"
And creating  joy and great music is what these two phenomenal talents do best.  I can't wait.  That's Crossroads...on Country Music Televison...Friday, June 24th at 8 PM Mountain Time.  Don't miss it!
