While you're frying the turkey, mixing the stuffing, and baking the pies; you're also probably planing the Christmas shopping. Your list includes the kids, of course, your spouse, some good friends. Oh, don't forget the great lady at daycare! Maybe a special teacher, and Mr. Jones next door. Then there's mom and dad, your siblings, and a little something for yourself too.

Now you're probably thinking about all the time this is going to take. You must be thinking that your whole weekend will be eaten-up by driving all over southeast Wyoming (or even into Colorado, ugh).

But no! You can make your Christmas easier, and everyone else's better, by staying in Laramie and getting all that Christmas shopping done this weekend! Imagine actually enjying December, knowing that the presents are wrapped and ready. Here's how to do that, shop small.

All of Laramie is invited to shop small this Saturday (November 24) at the locally owned businesses that make the community unique. There's going to be over 60 local businesses and a dozen pop-up vendors making your Christmas shopping easier and better. Plus, there's going to be lots of fun stuff going on in downtown Laramie on Saturday. It'll be a good time for the whole family.

  • First, you'll want to get a shopping guide and free breakfast at First Interstate Bank between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
  • There will be free wagon rides from the First Street Plaza from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Local folks will be selling coffee, crafts, and clothing at the pop-up shop at 412 S. 2nd Street.

Small Business Saturday is hosted by Laramie Main Street, the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance, and the Wyoming Small Business Development Center. For more information go to shopsmalllaramie.com
