An argument led to an Albany County man being charged with aggravated assault after he struck his girlfriend multiple times in the head, and then pushed her to the ground. Lens Owens' appearance in Albany County Circuit Court on Monday stemmed from these charges.

According to prosecutors, on March 7, Len Owens, while at his apartment, argued with his girlfriend and then struck her multiple times in the head. The victim initially left but later returned to Owens' residence, where in then pushed her to the ground.

If Owens is convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 14, and a bond is set at $10,000.
