Miss Wyoming USA To Steal National Show In May

23-year-old Mikaela Shaw, of Casper – aka Miss Wyoming USA - will go to Las Vegas soon to compete for the coveted title of Miss USA. We think she will steal the show.

The pageant airs live on Fox from Mandalay Bay on Sunday, May 14 at 7 p.m. Eastern.

We send great Cowboy State vibes to Mikaela, competing with 50 other winners from across the country.

Shaw has been playing the Suzuki Violin since second grade. Her violin skills snagged her a scholarship to UW while auditioning for the school’s orchestra. Mikaela convinced her instructor that she had a “really good ear for music” since she didn’t know how to site read. (Now that's talent.) She is passionate about the arts, so much so that she wants to be an advocate for fine arts & music programs in schools.

Mikaela Shaw is a name that also may sound familiar from when she was already once Miss Wyoming USA in 2015. This ain’t her first rodeo.
