A strong second half propelled the Naughty Pines Derby Dames to their second home roller derby victory of the season last Saturday.

The Pines defeated the Black Hills Wildfire Roller Derby from Rapid City, SD by a final score of 198-113 at the Laramie Ice and Events Center.

It was only 90-77 at halftime, but the Naughty Pines pulled away in the second half.

There was one “foul-out,” as a skater from Wildfire Roller Derby received more than seven penalties in the match and by rule is required to leave the bout.

Each home bout, the Naughty Pines team with a local charity for fundraising with their halftime “Chuck a Duck” promotion. The charity partner last Saturday was SAFE Project.

The next home bout for the Pines is not until July 16, when they host the Wreckin’ Roller Rebels from Denver, CO.
