New Laramie Dairy Queen Set to Open in May

Laramie residents will have another place to go for the famous Dairy Queen Blizzard this summer.

Brandon Davison of Falcon Enterprises says the new full-service Dairy Queen restaurant is set to open in May. It will be located on the site of the old Cherries restaurant at 1253 N. 3rd St.

Davison says Falcon Enterprises acquired the property in the last few months of 2015 and stripped the Cherries building down to three cinder block walls.

"Everything was completely gutted -- new roof, everything," says Davison.

"We extended the front out toward third street and then we also added onto the side for new restrooms," says Davison.

Davison says the restaurant will run special promotions when the store opens.

"We can't wait to get down there," says Davison. "We're all Wyoming-based, and we love the state of Wyoming."

"We just saw this as a great opportunity and want to become partners in the Laramie community," says Davison.

Falcon Enterprises also owns the Dairy Queen inside the Laramie Walmart, one DQ in Sheridan and two more locations in Casper.
