The Weekend Movie Forecast call for cooling, with some clearing. Most of the best films have left town, with a couple of exceptions. "Silver Linings Playbook" has been held over. Another top film from last year, "The Sessions," will be show for one night only.

The only new movie in town, "Identity Thief," looks a bit below average in early reviews. It will have an early screening at the Hollywood Fox Theater on Thursday at 10 p.m. before opening nationwide on Friday. Watch the trailer below to decide it is will be worth your time.

The other film opening Friday, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2," is up for a lot of awards, but not the kind of awards filmmakers want. This film has been nominated 11 times in only 10 categories of the Golden Raspberry Awards, which mock the worst films of the year.

Back to better films. Advance tickets are now on sale on campus and downtown for the Spring Film Series. The series begins on Sunday at 7 p.m. with the Academy Award-nominated film "The Sessions."
