The Weekend Movie Forecast calls for some clearing. The hit musical "Les Miserables" opens in Laramie Friday. It is expected to get some Oscar nominations to go with its Golden Globe Award nominations.

"Les Miserables", basedon the book and Tony Award-winning stage play of the same name, is a big, lavish production with a lot of star power, including Russel Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway. It rates a C+.

Also opening Friday is "Texas Chansaw 3D", the seventh film in the horror film series that dates back to 1974. This film was not screened in advance for critics, which is often a sign the studio is worried about negative reviews.

Another Oscar hopeful, "Django Unchained", an action-packed Western, which rates a B+ and the romantic comedy, "This is 40", which rates a B are all being held over this week. It will be another week before most of the country will get to see the film that is getting the most Oscar buzz, "Zero Dark Thirty", the controversial drama about the Osama Bin Laden raid.
