The weekend movie forecast calls for some clearing.

The only new movie in town this week is Evil Dead, a remake of a 1981 horror film.  According to early reviews, Evil Dead is rating a "C-Plus."

A hit film from the past, Jurassic Park, has been converted to 3-D and brought back to Laramie for another run.  The 1993 film was one of the first to make extensive use of lifelike computer animation in live action film making.  It is one of the most popular films ever made.

One of last year's best films, The Impossible, makes its debut in Laramie for a one-night-only showing on Sunday, April 7 at the Wyo Theater.  This film shows the incredible tale of one Family's survival in the midst of the chaos and destruction of the 2004 Indonesian Tsunami.

The Impossible won twenty-two international awards and was nominated for many more, including Oscar and Golden Globe awards.  It features very realistic-looking fotage of the tsunami which killed a quarter of a million people.

Another award-winning 2012 film, Silver Linings Playbook, continues to be shown in Laramie.
