It took a while for me to come to grips with the whole "Now that's what I call" series.  I first paid attention to it when I bought edition five or six for my tween niece way back in the day.  Anyway, the series eventually got around to featuring country artists.  And, since I'm in the country radio biz, I warmed up to the concept real quick.

The series now has a sub-genre exclusively for Country Ballads.  NOW That's What I Call Country Ballads includes titles from some of the hottest, most popular performers in the industry.

The release date is set for January 24, 2012.  This is the first NOW disc that features only ballads.  There have been four previous volumes, but they were not limited exclusively to romantic tunes.

NOW Country Ballads follows the first four volumes of the Country Music chart-topping NOW That's What I Call Country series.

A few of the titles include Taylor Swift's Forever and Always, Keith Urban's Tonight I wanna Cry, Rascal Flatts' What Hurts the Most and The Band Perry's If I Die Young.

Other artists represented on the album:

 Dierks Bentley

 Martina McBride

 Jake Owen
