The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a special weather statement regarding possible flooding for the areas surrounding the Sierra Madre and Snowy Mountain Ranges, including the cities of Baggs, Saratoga, Encampment, Centennial, Albany, Bosler and Laramie.

The NWS says a potential heavy rain and snow event is expected to push into the mountains this Saturday. The main concern with the heavy rain, the NWS says, is the possibility for flooding in some of the streams and rivers in the area.

Those currently residing in Saratoga, Baggs, Dixon, Savery, Centennial and  Encampment should pay close attention to the situation. The NWS says ranchers in those areas should try to move their cattle away from low lying areas.
