A two vehicle crash on WY 130 resulted in the death of an Encampment resident.

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at mile marker 21.5 on WY 130 near Saratoga, Wyo. on Wednesday, July 2. Troopers responded to the call around 6:12 p.m.

A 1978 Ford pickup truck was being driven by a juvenile male and was occupied by a juvenile female and 45-year-old Deanne Barrett of Saratoga according to WHP. The truck was stopped waiting to make a left turn onto a dirt road.

Carol Ann Cline, 55, of Encampment was traveling south in a 2009 Nissan Titan pickup when she came upon the pickup. Cline failed to stop and collided with the rear of the Ford.

All four involved in the accident were transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.

While at the hospital, Cline succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The juvenile female in the Ford was the only occupant listed as not wearing a seat belt.

The highway was temporarily closed due to the crash.

Alcohol use by Carol Cline is being investigated as the contributing factor to the crash with other non-moving charges for those in the Ford pickup possibly pending at this time as the investigation into the crash continues.
