Planet Fitness Coming to Laramie

Plans are underway to put a Planet Fitness gym into the space that used to house Hastings on Third Street in Laramie.

Charles Bloom, City of Laramie principal planner, said the company filed their building permit in September and it was approved. Bloom said the Planet Fitness gym will take up about three quarters of the building. The other available space is still being shown to possible tenants.

As far as when the Planet Fitness will open, Bloom said he is not sure when those renovations will be complete.

“The ball is in their court now,” Bloom said.

Hastings in Laramie closed during the summer of 2016 after the company declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. All the Hastings Entertainment stores where liquidated and closed.
