A screening to help detect prostate cancer will take place Saturday at the Meredith and Jeannie Ray Cancer Center in Laramie.September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

It starts at 8 a.m. Saturday and will continue until anyone who wants a screening is finished. Walk-ups are welcome, but if you can call ahead to plan a time, you are encouraged to do so. The number is 742-7586.

This is the 10th year of the event and prostate cancer survivor Don Brosz was a guest during 'Laramie Live on KOWB' with host David Settle this week. Mr. Brosz stressed the importance of this, especially for men age 40 and older. Brosz said early detection is the key.
