The legendary performer was recently performing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area when he suddenly fell face forward on the stage.

The performance was for the Huguley Memorial Medical Center’s 18th annual Crystal Heart Gala.  A local paper, the Burleson Star reports that Travis was in the middle of his hit “Three Wooden Crosses when the collapse occurred.  Though the collapse was frightening, it’s reported that he was not taken to the hospital and that he was soon doing much better.

The room was filled with doctors, fortunately, and they were able to come to his aid almost instantly.  The star reportedly gave a thumbs up to the crowd before being escorted off the stage.

DFW.com checked back with Travis’ people Monday.  Tour Manager Jeff Davis confirmed the collapse but says everything is fine now.

“He’s alright.  He had a bad reaction to some allergy medicine he took earlier in the day; it had some decongestant in ti.  The doctors said a cup of coffee and the decongestant combined to cause the collapse, and it was one of those weird things.  The doctors cheked him out ant he was fine.  They examined him immediately and helped him how he needed to be helped.  It was just unfortunate timing.”

Randy’s publicist also mentioned the hot lights of the stage as a contributing factor.

I’m sure all the country fans around the world are heartened by the news that he’s doing fine.
