Police in Rock Springs are investigating a bank robbery on the city's west side.

Investigators say sometime after 2pm on Tuesday, January 21st, a suspect entered the US Bank located at the intersection of College and Dewar Drive, handed a teller demanding money and stated they had a gun.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery and the suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash.

Investigators are trying to figure out if the suspect was male or female.

They do know that he or she was wearing faded denim jeans, a black long sleeved shirt and what appeared to be a gray or tan hooded vest with a black zipper and black zippered pockets, as well as a black Atlanta Braves baseball cap with a red brim.

The suspect disguised his or her face by wearing a fake black mustache and goatee and wore black plastic framed glasses that appeared to be fake.

Police also say a bank teller could not tell whether the suspect's voice was male or female, but did notice that the suspect's facial skin appeared to be very smooth and pale.

A witness at the scene stated a white older SUV consistent with a Ford Bronco, was seen in the area where the suspect had walked to afterwards, however the suspect was not seen getting into any particular vehicle.

Investigators are also checking for a possible link between this bank robbery, and 10 other bank robberies that occurred in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, in December 2013.

Anyone with any information regarding this case is asked to contact the Rock Springs Police Department.
