Scotty McCreery Follows up with Chart Success

Scotty McCreery has the success of American Idol behind him.  But ahead of him it would appear he has an exceptional start to his career as a Country singer.

Billboard Magazine has the teenager debuting on the country charts at # 32.  That's the best debut on the charts in over 20 years.

"I Love You This Big"  is also making noise on USA TODAY's Country Radio chart, showing up at # 46.  Scotty's showing has probably been helped by the fact that his label is releasing "I Love You This Big" and strongly promoting its air-play.

Scotty's colleague, Lauren Alaina is also impressing the industry with the debut of her single "Like My Mother Does", appearing at # 49 right now.  Final numbers for both artists will be released by the radio industry later this week.
