If ‘American Idol’ winner Scotty McCreery keeps this pace up, he’ll be performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl before long. On the day the 18-year-old performed the National Anthem to kick off the World Series, it was announced he’d be performing at the 2011 CMA Awards in Nashville next month.

McCreery, Sugarland, Sara Evans, Martina McBride and the Zac Brown Band are the five latest artists announced as performers for the November 9 broadcast. It’s not clear which song each will perform, but typically a singer will choose their most well-known hit from the past 12 months. These five join a star-studded roster that already includes all five Entertainer of the Year nominees, all new artist nominees and select others like Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood.

Both Evans and McBride are nominated for Best Female Vocalist at this year’s awards, with Evans also being included amongst the Single of the Year nominees for ‘A Little Bit Stronger.’ Sugarland are nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year and the Zac Brown Band are up for four awards including Album of the Year and Single of the Year for ‘Colder Weather.’

Underwood and Brad Paisley will host the 45th annual CMA Awards. It’s their third time co-hosting the event together. They’ll also recreate their chart-topping duet ‘Remind Me’ with a live performance.
