Second Street in Downtown Reopens

The 400 block of South Second Street in downtown Laramie reopened Friday.

This came after an engineering assessment of the partial collapse of a building last Sunday morning, June 7.

The structural engineering review was performed by Yelton Structural Engineering, LLC of Casper. The buildings were deemed to pose no threat. Even occupancy permits for both J's Prairie Rose Cafe and Undercover Beds and Spas have been restored.

First Street from Garfield to Custer Street remains closed between the buildings impacted and Depot Park.
