Small House Fire in Laramie

Laramie Fire Department crews responded to a small house fire on the 1000 block of south Third street, south of the Albany County Annex building, during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

"Residents had smelled smoke in their living room.  They got out and called 9-11," says Laramie Fire Acting Company Officer Trevor Kern.  "We had a small room and contents fire in the living room with moderate smoke and heat inside.  We forced the door and put the fire out."

Kern went on to say that damage to the home was light to moderate and that no injuries were reported with the fire.

Fire crews were on scene for about five hours and the last members of the Laramie Fire Department left about 7:00 am, Wednesday morning.
