Aaron Garcia,
Specialist, Army National Guard

Its hard to put a hero into words. My hero is so much more than that. He is made of memories, emotions, good deeds, and a gracious heart. My hero is a person that will put a smile on your face, even if he's having a rough day. He's a person that will lend a helping hand to anyone in need, without thinking about what's in it for him. He's a listener and a leader.

He has the heart of a child filled with so much love that he's incapable of hate. He's wildflowers on a cold winter day. He's a smile in the darkness. He's a helping hand when no one else is there.
He's a man that got on a plane without thinking of anything but his duty, nothing but the well being of this amazing country that we call America. He's my inspiration. my friend, and my hero. Aaron Garcia, is more than a man, he is, always has been, and always will be my hero!

Aaron Garcia has been one of my best friends since Junior high. I can't remember a time when he didn't have a smile on his face. If there was ever a person in need, he'd always be the first to lend a helping hand. It has never taken much for Aaron to be happy, he always cherishes the simple things in life.

Hunting with his dad, driving to the mountains with friends, sitting on the porch and retelling memories have always been things that make him happy. While some feel as if it is a burden to lend help, he has always looked at it as a privilege. He is one of the most selfless people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I couldn't imagine a world without him. He's a giver, a listener, and simply being around him, makes people want to be better. For these reasons, and more, this man is my hero!
