The Wyoming High School Activities Association Board of Directors approved a two-year extension to keep the state high school football title games in Laramie.

The current deal for Laramie and the University of Wyoming to host the five state football championship games at War Memorial Stadium was set to expire after the upcoming 2015 season. The new deal approved Tuesday extends the contract through 2017.

This means that the Gem City will be host to state football for nine consecutive seasons. The championships first came to here in 2009.

Laramie/UW submitted the only bid.
