Volleyball lovers will have an extra chance to play some organized volleyball this summer in Laramie. Parks & Recreation is starting four different sand leagues playing Monday-Thursday nights at the Undine and Washington Park sand volleyball courts.

For those of you thinking that maybe the sand courts in town need a little help, have no fear! To get the courts ready for action there will be a volunteer night on Sunday, June 10. Volunteers will work on the Undine and Washington Park sand courts from 3 to 5:30 p.m. to prepare them for league play. If you’re interested in volunteering or have questions about the new league, call (307) 721-5259.

Monday night will be 2 person coed, Tuesday night will be 2 person men’s, Wednesday night will be 4 person coed and Thursday night will be 2 person women’s.  Games will run on a 45 minute time schedule starting at 5:30pm each night. The season will have 8 league games with a double elimination tournament at the end of the season.

The cost will be $75 per team for two person and $150 for 4 person teams. Registration deadline will be June 10 and there will be an organizational meeting June 14 at 5:30pm. You must be 16 or older to play.
