Survey Finds Positive Perceptions of UW
A statewide survey has found that a majority of Wyoming residents feel positively towards the University of Wyoming.
According to the survey conducted by the Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center, Wyomingites think that UW provides quality undergraduate education and is an attractive option for Wyoming students looking to attend college.
More Wyoming residents feel that the university is spending its budget wisely- about 64 percent. When asked if UW has steadily improved over recent years, 69 percent agreed. A majority also said UW is receptive to the needs of the state, according to a UW press release.
The survey polled 772 Wyoming residents and was conducted Oct. 11-15. 86 percent of survey respondents did not have a degree from UW. Among those who did, 35 percent rated the quality of their educational experience as excellent and 52 percent as good.
