Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies (9-9) won the first game of yesterday’s double-header against the Pittsburgh Pirates (8-10) at PNC Park 2-1, but the dropped Game 2 to the Pirates 5-1, giving Pittsburgh the series win. After a travel date today, the Rockies return home to host the New York Mets (10-8) tomorrow night at 6:10 at Coors Field (TV: Root Sports).

Michael Cuddyer was out of the lineup last night with an injured toe, but it wasn’t enough to keep him from delivering a pinch-hit single in the ninth to drive in the winning run and lift the Colorado Rockies (7-6) over the Milwaukee Brewers (6-8) 4-3 at Miller Field. The two teams will go at it again this evening at 5:10 in Milwaukee (TV: Root Sports).

Juan Nicasio recorded his first win following last year’s season-ending neck injury, throwing 6 1/3 innings, leading the Colorado Rockies (6-6) to an 8-4 win over the San Diego Padres (3-10) at Coors Field. The Rockies, who went 5-4 in their first homestand of the season, hit the road for a weekend series that starts tomorrow night in Milwaukee.
