Was Cancelling Fire in the Sky the Right Call? – Survey of the Day
The City of Laramie made the decision on Monday to cancel the Fire in the Sky fireworks show. They said the dry conditions and significant fire threat in Albany County led to the decision by the planning team, even though they had full confidence in Stonebraker Fireworks Company to safely conduct the show.

Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department Holds Open House
In an effort to thank the community for continued support while raising funds for the coming year, the Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their annual Open House from 12-3 on the afternoon of Saturday, June 16 at the Centennial Fire Station, just north of Centennial on Highway 130.

Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department Hosts Open House
The Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department (CVVFD) Open House and annual fundraiser was on Saturday in Centennial. CVVFD Secretary Nancy Taft says they've been able to raise $10,000 during the three-hour event the past few years. Funds raised during the Open House go towards training and equipment for the CVVFD, which has been serving Centennial for 40 years. I was privilege to be live on location for the Open House and had a great time learning about the CVVFD while snapping some fun photos!

92-Year-Old Woman Shoots at Neighbor’s House After He Denies Kiss
Based on actions displayed by Helen B. Staudinger earlier this week, she's what you'd refer to as a feisty female.
On Monday evening, the 92-year-old visited her friend/neighbor's house and before departing requested a kiss. The neighbor, 53-year-old Dwight Bettner, declined the offer and asked Staudinger to leave.
Furious, Staudinger returned to her home, grabbed her semi-automatic pistol, stomped back to his house and fired several gunshots into the home.
