You’ve heard it on the radio, you’ve heard it on YouTube emanating from 3-year-old kids in their car seats and now you can hear Toby Keith‘s all-too-catchy ‘Red Solo Cup’ on the hit app Tap Tap Revenge. The music game, which is currently the most downloaded app overall, was created by Tapulous and is compatible with the iPod Touch, iPhone and Android.

Alright.  I know it was a joke.  I get it.  But, the way this song took off, you have to think that Toby was just as surprised as anyone else when this song turned into a monster.

After a performance on the 2011 American Country Awards and an appearance on ‘Glee,’ Toby Keith has retooled the ‘Red Solo Cup’ video to reflect the holiday spirit. The singer provides another reason to watch the year’s most viral country music video by adding images of Santa Claus to it every 30 seconds or so.

Over the past 10 years, Toby Keith has been the most-played artist on country radio. His feat as one of country music’s most influential artists was enough to garner the win for Artist of the Decade at the 2011 American Country Awards on Monday night (Dec. 5).

Toby Keith won’t make his ‘Glee‘ television debut until next week, but a full clip of the ‘Red Solo Cup‘ cover has already hit the web. When an old McKinley High School regular (played by Chord Overstreet) returns in the ‘Hold On to Sixteen’ episode, a party ensues, and the red party cups get passed around like candy — filled with sparkling cider, of course.

If Toby Keith wasn’t a fan of ‘Glee‘ characters Sam and the rest of the New Directions already, he will be early next month. The country singer’s viral hit ‘Red Solo Cup’ is scheduled to get the ‘Glee’ treatment courtesy of Chord Overstreet‘s character in the Dec. 6 episode.
