I know, you're probably flabbergasted by the fact that Taylor is on this list. (sarcasm).  Anyway, those fine folks a Forbes have released their  list of the Top 10 highest-earning women in the entertainment industry.  And believe or not, Taylor is NOT number one

loading...

Taylor is actually tied for 4th place on the list.  Last year, the "Sparks Fly" singer made a cool 45 millionn dollars.  In second is the phenomenal Lady Gaga who made twice...I said twice that much last year.

Taylor's had a great deal of success, both with the release of her album Speak Now, and the mind-boggling concert shows she's put together to support it.  Not only has she been rewarded financially, but also artistically.  Taylor wrote every single song on the album, including Mean, Back to Decenber and Mine.

Our thanks to the folks at Forbes for this list:

Top 10 Highest-Earning Women in Entertainment:

Oprah Winfrey -$290 million
Lady Gaga - $90 million
Bethenny Frankel - $55 million
Gisele Bundchen - $45 million
Ellen DeGeneres - $45 million
Judge Judy Sheindlin - $45 million
Taylor Swift - $45 million
Katy Perry - $44 million
Beyonce - $35 million
Danielle Steel - $35 million

Taylor is also number two on Forbe's list of highest paid country singers.  She occupies a spot behind Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Tim MGraw, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood and Sugarland round out THAT ist.

The amount of money that country stars are starting to pull down is really amazing and shows the over-all strength of the genre.
