According to many entertainment sources, including Huffington Post, the list of actresses who might be cast to play in Les Miserables include country's own Taylor Swift.

Bringing the classic Victor Hugo story to the big screen, Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper is reportedly looking for some high-dollar talents to join the cast, including Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood.  The New York Post is reporting that all four have auditioned.

Taylor Swift's last movie role was in Valentine's Day with Taylor Lautner.

If she were to make the cut, Taylor would join an outstanding collection of talent including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Geoffrey Rush.  All have reportedly signed on for the film.

When asked earlier in the fall by the Huffington Post about tabloid reports on casting rumors, Jackman seemed uninterested in the issue.

"Nah, whatever. Obviously, I don't really read them," he said. "At the end of the day, what matters is when you made the movie. All the other stuff, it's kind of amazing how much public interest there is in deal making, the how a movie gets made, I find it interesting obviously, but if I wasn't in the business, all I'd care about is watching it."

It's a double-edged sword whenver relatively new acting talent is paired up with the pro's.  Some would argue that that kind of talent can only help to elevate a relative newcomer's talent.  On the other hand, it's take a lot of acting chops to keep up with the pro's.  We'll be watching closely.
