The Band Perry – Dancing with the Stars
No, neither Kimberly, Reid or Neil will be showing off their dancing skills on the show. But they're going to be associated with it nonetheless. They'll be performing, of course.
What a year the Perry kids have had. Gold albums, platinum singles, successful concerts and international travel. And now, It’s just that they’ve released word that they’re going to be appearing on national TV in just over a week when The Band Perry performs live on Dancing with the Stars.
The air date will be next Tuesday, October 18th On ABC. Country, as it turns out is being well represented this season on DWTS. Tonight, Julianne Hough and Blake Shelton will appear. The list of country stars who have already appeared include Toby Keith, Sara Evans and Taylor Swift.
The good news about their appearance comes on the heels of even better news for the band; Their single If I Die Young has officially been certified as triple Platinum. That means three million downloads since its release.
On the Band’s Twitter feed came this notification:
"Just got word today 'If I Die Young' went Triple Platinum!" Our biggest thanks to YOU for the past year and a half you've given us."
Still on the horizon is an appearance on the upcoming CMA’s in November. They’ve been nominated for four CMA’s, including the “big one” Vocal Group of the Year.
Yes, 2011 has been quite the year for these kids and the future certainly looks very bright for them. Here’s to a great band and a real asset to country music.
