The 2016 NCAA Wrestling Championships are Thursday through Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Senior Tanner Harms, junior Drew Templeman and sophomore Bryce Meredith comprise this year's Cowboy contingent.

The three Cowboys even addressed the aura around wrestling at such a prestigious venue.

Harms is the only one with experience. This is his second trip to the NCAA's, while Meredith and Templeman are both first-time participants.

This is the smallest group UW has taken to the championships since 2008. The three are looking to join 21 previous Wyoming Cowboys as All-Americans.

Meredith is the 14th-seed, while Harms drew the 15th-seed. Templeman is unseeded. They face opponents from Arizona State, Columbia and Missouri in their first round Thursday.

Head coach Mark Branch discusses the significance of the event at Madison Square Garden; the contingent and their training; and the experience factor, whether it matters or not.

Action on the mat is underway and will conclude Saturday evening.
