The Cowboys Get Crushed By The Spartans, 56-14

The ninth-ranked Michigan State Spartans scored on their first six possessions and rolled past the Wyoming Cowboys 56-14 Saturday in East Lansing.

Michigan State's (3-1) Jeremy Langford ran for 137 of the Spartans' 338 rushing yards. M-S-U piled up 533 yards of total offense. They scored more than 50 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1978.

M-S-U quarterback Connor Cook scored from one-yard out and then hit Tony Lippett on a 19-yard TD pass.

Trailing 14-0, Wyoming (3-2) got on the board with a 57-yard burst up the middle by Shaun Wick.

The Spartans responded with 28 straight points for a 42-7 lead.

Colby Kirkegaard connected with J.D. Krill from 4-yards out with less than a minute left in the first half.

The Cowboys couldn't get anything going in the second half and ended up with only 286 total yards. UW lost two fumbles, threw an interception and had a field goal blocked.

Wyoming is now on their first bye week of the season. They don't return to action until October 11 at Hawaii.
