It is a match-up between teams that are looking for their first win. Tonight at Deti Stadium, the Laramie Plainsmen football team takes on the Rock Springs Tigers.

Both squads suffered losses to top-four ranked teams a week ago in their openers.

For Laramie, head coach Chuck Syverson says we can't let one poor performance determine our season.

"You gotta learn from your mistakes and get better each week. I think these guys are pretty good about doing that. If we get better at the things we made a focus on this week, we'll definitely be a better team this week."

The first win in the Syverson era was a year ago in Rock Springs, when the Plainsmen defeated the Tigers 18-14. That featured a late goal line stand by Laramie.

It's a new season, and the Tigers will bring a new look to town with a brand new head coach, David Hastings.

These two teams look to be opposites of each other. In their first game, the Plainsmen threw for 197 yards, while Rock Springs ran for 199 yards.

Tonight's game at Deti Stadium will start at 7 p.m.

David Settle and VerDon Hoopes will provide the coverage, which will begin at 5:30 p.m.
