"The Princess Bride" will be hitting the Gryphon Theatre May 4th.

The 1987 film, "The Princess Bride" will be on the big screen for public viewing at the Gryphon Theatre this Saturday, May 4th. The film depicts the fairy tale of a grandfather who sits down with his sick grandson and reads him a story. As the story has been passed down from father to son for generations, this time it comes alive as it is read to his grandson. The story is the tale of love and adventure as the beautiful Buttercup is engaged to Prince Humperdinck, but is kidnapped and held against her control in order to ignite a war. As the dilemma is set, it's up to Westley whose Buttecup's childhood companion to rescue her. As Westley goes out on his quest to save her, he runs into a thief, swordsman, and a giant man all along the way.

Tickets are $5.00 per person and can be purchased at the Gryphon Theatre Box Office or online at gryphontheatre.org. A cash bar service is available as well. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the show beginning at 8 p.m.
