The Air Force Thunderbird demonstration team loudly announced their presence at Cheyenne Frontier Days 2016 with an array of high-precision gravity-defying stunts on Wednesday.

Although there is no way to accurately count the number of onlookers to the Thunderbirds, since there are no ticket sales, it's probably safe to say the show was viewed by many tens of thousands, including both Cheyenne residents and CFD visitors.

The 2016 Thunderbirds Cheyenne show is the latest chapter in a Cheyenne Frontier Days tradition that dates back to 1953.
