A visit from Governor Matt Mead, updates on a variety of initiatives, and a salary distribution policy for the 2015-2016 fiscal year are on the agenda for the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees March 25-27.

The meeting begins at noon Wednesday in Salons D and E of the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. Before that, from 7:30-10 a.m., the five new members of the board will participate in an orientation session, followed by meetings of two board committees

The business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday. All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions.

Public testimony will be accepted at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Wednesday afternoon’s agenda items include updates on UW’s fiscal reporting system and the legislative session.

The governor is scheduled to meet with the board at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

Presentation of the proposed salary distribution policy is set for 1 p.m. Thursday, followed by discussion on student fees for 2015-16, and the Trustees Education and Endowed Chairs initiatives. Also planned are updates on dean searches, community college collaborations, strategic planning, enrollment and construction projects.

The trustees will meet with the Energy Resources Council from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Friday. Later, the board will consider contracts for a guaranteed maximum price for the High Bay Research Facility and the architect/engineer for the Rochelle Athletics Center addition.

Also Friday, the trustees will take part in the annual “Take a Trustee to Class” activity, in which they each attend a class with a UW student.
