Debashis Dutta, Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Wyoming received a $10,000 grant from the Institute of Translational Health Science (ITHS), according to a release from UW.
Dutta is researching a method to slow the the progression of Alzheimer's through early treatment. His theory centers on a method of detecting a pathogenic biomaker in human cerebrospinal fluid from individuals in early stages.
Dutta joins 11 other researchers who received the grant.
ITHS  is dedicated to the enhancement of health in the regions of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
