The Laramie Plainsmen and Lady Plainsmen soccer teams swept Cheyenne Central Tuesday in a boys-girls varsity doubleheader at Riske Field.

Both teams hadn't played since April 14, but it didn't matter. The Plainsmen topped the Indians 2-1 in overtime, while the fifth-ranked Lady Plainsmen shutout fourth-ranked Central, 2-0.

Laramie's (4-2, 2-2) Logan Robertson scored the game-winner in the first half of overtime to help the Plainsmen to their victory. His goal in the 86th minute came off an assist from Lucas Thorsness.

Central (3-6, 0-2-0-2) scored first in the 26th minute and held a 1-0 edge at halftime.

The Plainsmen tied it in the 47th minute on a goal from Alexis Eleuterio.

In the ladies match, Laramie (4-1-1, 2-1-1) tallied in each half of their win over Central (3-4, 1-3).

Courtney Hamilton scored in the 15th minute, and the Lady Plainsmen got insurance from Allison McElwee in the 68th. She was assisted by Ariel Romero.

Both teams return to action Thursday against Cheyenne East.
