What New Sport Would You Like to See at UW? – Survey of the Day

Last week, a $250,000 proposal to study the feasibility of reviving the University of Wyoming’s baseball and softball programs was voted down in the state legislature.

The study would have investigated costs and logistics by schools currently fielding baseball and softball programs and it would have looked into the possibility of an indoor facility to accomodate games and Wyoming’s troublesome weather. The University of Wyoming has not had a baseball team since 1996; the softball program was cancelled several years prior.

Though the legislature voted down this proposed study, it certainly sparked thought about the potential for Wyoming to go beyond club teams and once again have varsity baseball and softball. This thought then made me consider the possibility for Wyoming to have some other sports- and thus inspired today’s question, of which sport you would most like to see brought to the University of Wyoming?
