Wednesday night, University of Wyoming basketball fans will bid farewell to one of the best players in the history of the program.

Josh Adams recently moved into sixth on the Pokes' all-time scoring list. His 694 points scored this season ranks as second highest single-season total in Wyoming history. His 130th and final game in a Cowboy uniform will move him into second on the school's all-time list.

Heading into Wednesday's season finale versus San Jose State, Adams could set a UW record for the most three-point baskets in school history. His 188 career triples trail only Brandon Ewing, who set the record with 193 in 2009.

The 2015 Mountain West Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player is also the odds-on favorite to win this year's Mountain West Player of the Year Award.

If there was a school record for the most Sports Center Top 10 highlights, Adams would own that too.

So where does Adams rank on the list of the best players in Wyoming basketball history? Here's our completely unofficial, totally subjective list.

1. Ken Sailors - A three time All-American, the father of the modern day jump shot led the Pokes to their first, and only, NCAA Tournament title in 1943. After college, he played professionally for six seasons. In 2012, he was elected to the National Collegiate Hall of Fame.

2. Flynn Robinson - One of only three Cowboys to score more than 2,000 points during their career, Robinson holds the record for the highest scoring average in school history, averaging over 26 points per game. He was selected in the first round by the Cincinnati Royals in the 1965 NBA Draft. He went on to play for five teams in a successful eight year career and was named to the 1970 NBA All-Star Team.

3. Theo Ratliff - Arguably the best defender in school history, he holds the all-time record for blocks. A two time All-Western Athletic Conference Selection, Ratliff went on to have a successful 12 year professional career and was named to the NBA All-Star Team twice.

4. Fennis Dembo - The all-time scoring leader at UW, Dembo was a three time All-WAC selection and was named WAC Player of the Year in 1987, leading the Pokes to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in '87 and '88. He went on to play one season in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons.

5. Larry Nance, Jr. - A two-time All-Mountain West Conference selection, Nance Jr. was also named the MWC 2015 Defensive Player of the Year, leading the team to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 13 years. He became the first Wyoming product since Ratliff to be selected in the first round of the NBA draft, when the Los Angeles Lakers took him with the 27th overall pick.

6. Eric Leckner - Third on the all-time scoring list, Leckner holds the school record for most games played and the highest field goal percentage. He was drafted it the first round by the Utah Jazz with the 17th overall pick in the 1988 NBA Draft.

7. Brandon Ewing - Second on the all-time scoring list, Ewing holds the school record for the most three-pointers made. His 471 assists rank second in school history and his 161 steals are good for third on the all-time list. After college, he went on to play in Israel and Greece.

8. Reginald Slater - Wyoming's all-time rebound leader also ranks fifth on the career scoring list. A professional journeyman after college, Slater played for seven different NBA teams in eight seasons.

9. Tony Windis - With the second best scoring average in Wyoming history, this sharp shooter posted a 24.4 points per-game average in 1959. He went on to play one season with the Detroit Pistons.

10 Josh Adams - Sixth on the all-time scoring list, second in games played and second in career three-pointers, Adams deserves a spot on the list of the best to ever play at Wyoming.

Honorable Mention:

Bill Garnett - A former All-American and WAC Player of the Year, Garnett led the Pokes to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances before being selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the fourth overall pick in the 1982 NBA Draft. Granett went on to play four seasons in the NBA.

Charles Bradley - A three time All-WAC selection, Bradley was drafted in the first round by the Boston Celtics in 1981, playing four seasons in the NBA. Adams recently passed Bradley for sixth on the career scoring list.

Marcus Bailey - A pre-season All-American in 2003, the Cheyenne native led the Cowboys to two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Sadly, a knee injury during his senior season dashed his hopes of playing in the NBA. In 2005, he was named to the Wyoming All-Century Team.
