Following a rough couple of seasons on the basketball court for the Wyoming Cowboys and with the addition of several new faces (coaches among them), expectations for the 2011-2012 Cowboys were not as high as in years past. This may be why some have said that the purpose of expectations is for them to be surpassed.

After a 20-win campaign, yielding numerous of highlight reel plays, several individual accolades and thousands of fans in the seats; most any expectation for the 2011-2012 Wyoming Cowboys basketball team in the regular season were certainly surpassed.
