A winter weather advisory is in effect for Laramie from 2 pm this afternoon to 2 am Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued the advisory for snow and blowing snow. The snow is expected to develop this afternoon and continue until early tonight.

Two to four inches of snow are predicted, with amounts closer to six inches over the southern Laramie Range.

Winds from the north and northeast will be present at ten to 15 mph, reaching up to 30 mph in areas East of the Laramie Range.

Travel will be impacted, as slick and snow packed roads with long stretches of areas with low visibility are likely.

The National Weather Service advises that drivers should use caution when travelling, especially in open areas.
